On May 16, 2009 at the FlynnSpace in Burlington, Vermont, the first annual Green Mountain Comedy Festival was the showcase for eight Vermont comedians. Hosted by Kathleen Kanz and featuring Martha Tormey, the evening presented performances by Dustin Bruley, Lindsay Going, Josie Leavitt, John Lyons, Mike Robideau and Tracie Spencer. The Festival was a ridiculous success. Thanks to the 200 people that showed up, sold the place out, and laughed and laughed.
